Abstract

The aim of this paper is ascertainment of air pollution influence on stomatal density of examined woody species, horse chestnut and ailanthus, under examined Banja Luka air pollution conditions. Two locations in town of Banja Luka, with different degree of air pollution, were examined: first location is a hostel for students, with minimal or lacking air pollution; second location is a west transit, with highly air pollution by reason of great count of motor cars which pass off west transit. The air pollution degree between those two locations is very marked, and the object of examination is properly perceiving how indicated locations, which have different life conditions for tested woody species, impact on physiological processes such as transpiration and photosynthesis.
