Genetic nature of so-called domestication syndrome of black pine is examined, on the basis of characteristics of natural and cultivated stands in SCG and BiH, and results of mass selection, and laboratory and experimental analyses of sibling lines. Appearance of domestication syndrome is the consequence of extremely balanced stand structure in the area of black pine.
