Abstract

To analyse influence of age on the measured element of trophy value in roe deer (Capreolus capreolus L.), data on 435 trophies of roebucks from Serbia were used. Value of 391 trophies were below 104,99 points while 44 trophies had value over 105,00 points. The best rise of trophy value is between first and fourth year of age. It was established that roebucks' trophies culminate about the age of 7 years. Therefore breeding roebucks of good quality should be hunted at the age from 5 to 8 years.
