Abstract

When morphological criteria for high quality seedlings is to be determined, certain characteristics, such as: seddlings height, root collar diameter, constitution of root and sprout, and the relation between root and sprout represent the production base of tied planting material which is suitable for  beforehand determined purposes. Since the following characteristics: seddlings height, root collar diameter, constitution of root and diameter, constitution of root and sprout, and the relation between root and sprout are frequently used in the modern nursery production of planting material and in international sale as the indicator of seedlings quality, this paper otlines their importance for the production of tied planting material.
