Abstract

The presence of five-needle pine at one locality in Jadovnik Mt in the West Bosnia was first reported in 1977. Confirmation that this was Pinus peuce Griseb. came a few years later. This paper presents the characteristics of the habitat, as well as those of the population, along with the assumptions about its origin. As such, this paper provides a detailed overview of the current state of the population of Macedonian Pine and forms the basis for successful future monitoring of this important phenomenon.
